6.5 baby keeps waking up in the night needing to burp?

hi everyone my baby is 6.5 months old and has started waking alot in the night especialy just after we put him down. he never wants food he just burps when you pick him up to soothe him then we put him back down. he used to always wake once in the night for food which he does now still around 2/3 am but all the in between are starting to tire us out. is there a simple solution? gripe water didnt seem to work.he is burped before being put down and he is supposed ' anti colic' teets. thanks!
