In Victorian era England, what would be the likely outcome of these situations?

2) he would bring it up on his own as best as he could. if he could afford servant fine. there was no lower class. you were either poor or rich. working or not. maybe a family member would raise it like an aunt or even a friend. after the 2nd world war my friend's father's mother died of TB so her friend brought her up. i know thats a century or more on but i guess the same applied. also the oldest sibling was often seen as head of the household.
