Is tummy time good for a newborn with colic?

my 21/2 week old jus developed wat we think is colic he crys nd crys espically after feedings nd seems to be in pain for several hours out of the day I spoke with the doc nd she sugested it may be colic so we ben using dr browns natural flow bottles gripe watter nd milacon drops to help manage it but I've noticed that him bein on his stomach on my chest helps sooth him so I tryd layin him on the couch on his belly it had the same effect can tummy time help with his colic? Are the any other sugestions from moms whove delt with a child with colic wat can we do it's draining nd I feel horible to see my little one in soo much discomfort
